The Faculty of Transport Communication(FTC) is one of the oldest faculties at BNTU. It continually evolves, producing highly sought-after professionals in the transportation, construction, and mechanical engineering industries. Over the six decades of offering the "Automobile Roads" specialty in our country, the Belarusian National Technical University has trained and graduated more than eight thousand road specialists, including those for other countries. In 2018, the Faculty of Transport Communications celebrated 20 years since its last renaming.
Today, FTC graduates work in road construction, design, building, and maintenance organizations across all regions of the republic. They are involved in the construction and reconstruction of bridges, roads, the Minsk metro, underground and above-ground pedestrian crossings, streets in cities, and other populated areas. The engineers trained by the faculty provide technical support for construction projects and develop new machinery at the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, MTZ, BelAZ, and Amkodor. The solid engineering education provided by BNTU enables graduates to excel in senior roles, such as managers and chief engineers of various enterprises, university lecturers, researchers, and project institute staff, as well as positions in the State Auto Inspection, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Ministry of Emergency Situations. The faculty is proud that its alumni are among the leaders of the country's main transportation department.
Graduates are qualified to hold engineering and management positions in research, design, and construction organizations across various ministries and departments. They can work in the capital construction departments of regional, district, and city executive bodies, specialized enterprises conducting cartographic and geodetic work, and higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in the country.
