Department of Natural Science and Creative Disciplines
The department was created as a result of the merger of two structural divisions - the department "Natural sciences" and the department "Humanities and creative disciplines" - in order to improve pre-university training and professional orientation of young people, as well as to organize methodological assistance in the study of disciplines of physical and mathematical, humanitarian and creative profiles and preparation for centralized testing and entrance examinations in physics, mathematics, Russian, Belarusian, English, drawing, painting, drafting, composition of students from schools, technical schools, colleges, lyceums, gymnasiums of the city of Minsk and the Republic of Belarus.
The department includes: 1 associate professor, 2 senior teachers, 1 teacher.
The Department of Natural Science and Creative Disciplines is a general education educational and scientific division of the BNTU, which provides educational, methodological, scientific, ideological and educational work.
The main tasks of the department:
- organization and conduct of educational, educational-methodical and scientific-methodical work in natural sciences, humanitarian and creative disciplines: mathematics, physics, Russian language, Belarusian language, English language, drawing, painting, drafting, composition;
- organization and conduct of scientific research on the profile of the department;
- preparing students and applicants for successful admission to a higher educational institution, as well as ensuring their adaptation to study at universities.
The department performs the following functions:
- conducts a modular-rating system for organizing the educational process with students of the IIFEME;
- conducts all types of training sessions in various forms of education;
- develops standard and working programs for academic disciplines;
- organizes the methodological and material support of the educational process, the preparation of textbooks, teaching aids, the development of educational and methodological materials for all types of training sessions;
- ensures continuous improvement of the quality of teaching of academic disciplines;
- participates in the work of educational and methodological associations in IIFEME and other organizations;
- conducts tests and attestation of students; software analyzes their results;
- conducts scientific research on problems corresponding to the profile of the department;
- carries out educational work among students of IIFEME;
- participates in the professional orientation of young people, introduces the rules for admission to BNTU.
At the department there is a "School of young architects and designers" for students in grades 6-10, the purpose of which is to develop the natural creative abilities of the child, his associative, spatial and design thinking. The School of Young Architects and Designers program is aimed at teaching schoolchildren the basics of architectural and artistic creativity, familiarizing them with the national culture and includes classes in architectural design, the basics of modeling and layout, drawing, painting, art history, composition and drafting.
