Department of Career Guidance and Advertising and Information Work

Areas of activity of the department of career guidance and advertising and information work:

• organizes and conducts, together with the faculties of BNTU, vocational guidance events on the problems of vocational guidance of students and youth;
• participates in field career guidance events with the aim of guiding students to enter the BNTU;
• organizes and conducts, together with the faculties of BNTU, other structural divisions, other third-party organizations, thematic seminars, conferences, exhibitions, contests on the problems of professional self-determination of students and youth;
• conducts career guidance consultations with schoolchildren entering BNTU and other universities of the Republic of Belarus in order to survey the degree of formation of students' professional plans;
• conducts career guidance diagnostics with students of schools of the republic, in order to study professional preferences, motives for choosing a profession, the level of development of abilities, inclinations and individual psychological characteristics (individual, remote);
• conducts individual career guidance consultations for high school students aimed at assisting in professional self-determination, choosing a profession, professional adaptation, taking into account individual psychological characteristics, human abilities, in accordance with the requirements of the profession.
• works with educational institutions of the republic under the program "SCHOOL - UNIVERSITY", aimed at organizing targeted general education and vocational guidance for students in accordance with her future professional interests.

Choosing a profession is one of the most important decisions a person makes in life. Randomness, thoughtlessness, mistakes in this responsible business cause dissatisfaction, disappointment, negatively affect the motivation of work and, in general, the quality of our life. A correctly chosen profession becomes the personal meaning of a person and brings harmony to our lives.
