The year 2020 in the Republic of Belarus is marked by a landmark event - the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Leninist Communist Union of Youth of Belarus ( LKSMB ). On September 24, 1920, the First All-Belarusian Congress of the Komsomol created the Communist Youth Union of Belarus (KSMB).

The teacher and writer V.A. Sukhomlinsky said: “His moral image depends on how a person relates to the heroic deed of his fathers and grandfathers in childhood.”

That is why on the agenda of the Council of Lyceum students is the theme of courage, selflessness in the name of the idea, creative achievements of youth, familiarization with the history of the Komsomol.

On October 20, 2020, in Library No. 15 named after Tetka, the Lyceum's assets took part in an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the LKSMB.

The guys learned that over the decades of the existence of the Soviet Komsomol, its membership has expanded more and more, covering almost the entire population aged 14 to 28 years. Therefore, the theme of the Komsomol and the theme of youth almost coincide, in many ways correlate with the historical past of the former Soviet Union.

Yulia Yuryevna Gvozdeva, head of the reading room, spoke about the main stages in the formation and development of the Belarusian Komsomol organization: the period of its inception and the first decades of its existence, the contribution of the Komsomol to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, to post-war construction, festival and construction brigades movements. A presentation with photographs and posters, documents of those years complemented the message.

The legal successor of the Leninist Communist Youth Union of Belarus today is the public organization "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" ( BRSM ).

Angelina Sauk, deputy secretary of the primary organization "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" with the rights of the RK BNTU, introduced lyceum students to 5 areas of activity of this organization - volunteer movement, civil-patriotic, sports-mass, student law enforcement activities (youth law enforcement units), secondary employment of youth (construction teams and organization of year-round youth employment), cultural and leisure activities.

The next meeting of the asset of the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of BNTU with students of grade 10 will be held at the Lyceum on November 12, 2020.
