Do the right thing: the main stage of submitting documents has started

Today, on July 12, the main stage of applying for admission to higher education institutions has started across the country. To keep you informed about the progress of the admission campaign at the Belarusian National Technical University, we are launching the "Do the right thing" column.

For reference: from today, applicants can apply for training at the expense of the republican budget, for training at the expense of the republican budget in the specialties of the military technical Faculty, for tuition on a fee basis and for tuition on a fee basis in specialties where it is necessary to take entrance tests at  BNTU. In addition, documents are accepted from graduates of specialized classes of pedagogical orientation and graduates of the National Children's Technopark.

The reception of documents started at exactly 09:00, when the young people, together with their parents, took their places next to the operators of the admission committee. According to tradition, the first applicants were congratulated by the rector of BNTU Sergey Kharitonchik, who gave a parting word and presented memorable gifts with the symbols of the university.

– Today, applicants are taking an important step in their lives, and I am very pleased that they are linking their future with our university. We have already proved throughout our history that we train those who are needed by the country and who will not be disappointed at their profession later.

The admission process for the university is enormous, because we enroll new students, who will then be the pride of both our university and our country. We understand that this is a new stage for our teachers, who will work with them and turn timid, just beginning children into self-confident professionals.

In turn, the applicants told about their admission, study plans and their vision of the engineering profession.

Alexander came from Slutsk and is determined to develop the energy supply of his hometown in the future.

– The energy industry provides us with electricity, without which it is impossible to imagine our lives. Becoming a student of the Faculty of Energy, I plan to get a high-quality education so that I can work and benefit the energy industry of my hometown upon graduation.

Daria also applied to the Faculty of Energy, as she is interested in studying the country's energy sector. The girl has been preparing for the entrance tests for a long time and believes that with the final number of points she will get to the desired specialty. 

– I have been interested in energy for a long time and have chosen the appropriate profession. I clearly imagine myself as an engineer at one of the leading enterprises in our country and I am moving towards this goal. I think that the number of points  will be enough to study  at the expense of  the republican budget. 

Diana will become the first engineer in the family. Previously, the girl did not imagine herself in this profession, but now she is sure that this is exactly what she needs.

– I have been actively preparing for admission for the last six months and today I am applying to the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology. We arrived on the first day in order to have time to file everything and be sure that everything is in order with the documents. Now it remains to wait for enrollment and find yourself on the lists.

The first day of admission is in full swing, and we congratulate the applicants who have already submitted their documents, and also wish success to those who will do so very soon.
