Towards new sporting heights at the BNTU Student Spartakiade - 2024/25

Today, November 27, the Belarusian National Technical University held a solemn ceremony of summarizing the results of the Student Spartakiade of the 2023/24 academic year and the opening of the Student Spartakiade of the 2024/25 academic year.

For reference: in the 2024/25 academic year, 17 teams will take part in the competition: one from each faculty.

The participants of the competition were welcomed by Vice-Rector of Ideological and Educational Work Timur Matyushinets, Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Technology Ivan Belsky and Head of the Sports Club Dmitry Medyushka. The speakers wished the teams fortitude, determination and bright victories.

Having given a start to the competition of the coming year, it is important to take into account all merits of sportsmen for the past year. Thus, the first places in various sports were divided by the participating teams as follows:

• basketball - Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianization;
• mini-football - Faculty of Energy;
• arm wrestling - Faculty of Construction;
• cross-country athletics - Faculty of Military Engineering;
• table tennis and chess - Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics;
• volleyball among boys - Faculty of Automobile and Tractor Engineering;
• volleyball among girls and swimming - Faculty of Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship.

The awards of the Freshman Cup in mini-football and the Freshman Cup in volleyball were given to the construction and auto-tractor faculties correspondingly.

The winners of the team standings are as follows:

• first place - Faculty of Automobile and Tractor Engineering;
• second place - Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianization;
• third place - Faculty of Construction.

According to the results of the review-competition for the best arrangement of physical fitness, health and sports activities among the faculties of BNTU in 2023/24 academic year, the following faculties were in the top three:

• first place - Faculty of Sport and Technology;
• second place - Faculty of Military and Technology;
• third place - Faculty of Energy.
