In the city of Polotsk, Vitebsk region, a district career guidance event, “Targeted Training Fair,” was held at the Polotsk State Gymnasium No. 1 named after Francisk Skaryna on April 4, 2026.
The participants included representatives of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, heads of organizations that order personnel, representatives of higher education institutions, and students in grades 9–11 of professional orientation (pedagogical and engineering classes) of general secondary education institutions.
Representatives from the Belarusian National Technical University, the Belarusian State University, the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, and others spoke to the audience about the specifics of applying to educational institutions.
Mikhail Kuzemko, a senior lecturer in the Department of Professional Training and Pedagogy, spoke to the audience about the 2026 admissions process at BNTU.
For reference: the Faculty of Applied Physics is recruiting in two majors in 2026: "Engineering and Teaching Activity" (full-time education majors (FFPE): mechanical engineering, electric power engineering, construction, and applied programming; part-time education majors (CPE): mechanical engineering, construction), leading to the qualification of "Engineer and Teacher"; and "Equipment and Technologies for Vacuum, Compressor, and Low-Temperature Engineering" (FFPE and CPE: vacuum and compressor engineering), leading to the qualification of "Engineer."
A quick survey was conducted among the students in attendance about their future profession at the Belarusian National Technical University. The most active students received commemorative prizes and flyers from the university and the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogics.
In addition, students and their parents were invited to visit BNTU: on April 18, 2026, for the open day of the Engineering and Pedagogic Faculty; and on May 23, 2026, for the open day of the university.
