A large-scale event will be held in Gomel on April 15-16 – the third Republican Olympiad in information technology among university students, "IT-Challenge – 2026." The BNTU team is among the representatives from 13 leading universities in the Republic of Belarus who will compete for victory.
The event will be held at the Gomel Social and Cultural Center. The Olympiad is part of the large-scale Gomel IT Week, which will also include the regional seminar "Digital Day Gomel" and a roundtable discussion on the digitalization of healthcare institutions from April 13-16.
In its three years of existence, the IT-Challenge has become a significant platform for identifying and supporting talented young people in the fields of programming, artificial intelligence, and information security. The Olympiad brings together the country's best students and builds a professional community of future IT experts.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Operational and Analytical Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus, Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University, and the domestic IT company InDev Solutions.
The project is supported by leading companies and organizations:
On the first day, April 15, teams will complete an eight-hour marathon of practical problem solving. The competition tasks will cover such relevant areas as programming, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and information security.
On the final day of the Olympiad, April 16, a programming tournament will be held for schoolchildren, and participants will attend master classes on information technology and public speaking skills. The final chord will be a gala awards ceremony, where the country's best young IT experts will be named.
Participation in such tournaments allows students not only to test their skills in solving real-world cases but also to present themselves to potential employers. We wish the BNTU team success in the upcoming competition!
