From May 4 to 7, the international civic and patriotic marathon "Time Has Chosen Us" was held in Grodno. The Belarusian National Technical University was represented by university activists at the event. Over the course of four days, the students showcased their abilities and achieved high results in the marathon's competitions.
"Participating in this event is very important and beneficial for us, as it brings together a large number of students, allowing us to meet, communicate, and share our experiences. This is not the first time we have come to the marathon. Every year, our students go through a selection process, and during the event, they have the opportunity to showcase their skills and win awards in various categories," said Alexander Malashko, Chairman of the Student Council at BNTU.
The marathon's program includes various competitions, from military sports to baking bread.
For example, on May 5, the second day of the marathon, students participated in the creative competition "Gaspadar i Gaspadynia," where they showcased their skills in making custom baked goods and decorative wooden items. The activists also took part in the intellectual duel "Erudite." In the evening, the students performed in the creative competition "We Are the Heirs of Victory!" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, singing the song "Don't Forget."
"The second day of the marathon was extremely eventful! We started the day in the workshops, where we created a creative birdhouse as part of the competition. The organizers provided excellent conditions for work and relaxation," said Anna Yashchembskaya, a member of the editorial board of Studmedia and a master's student at the Faculty of Automotive Engineering.
Yesterday, on May 6, students participated in military-applied events such as "Ready to Protect the Fatherland!" and the sports competition "Together for a Healthy Lifestyle!".
Today, on May 7, the day began with a solemn rally and the laying of flowers at the Mass Grave of Soviet Soldiers and Partisans. The marathon concluded with an awards ceremony, where the students of the Belarusian National Technical University once again proved that they are among the strongest. As a result of the marathon, the students of the Polytechnic University received a diploma in the "Active Promotion" category.
– These days have been very bright and intense. On such days, you constantly experience a surge of emotions and are energized by the common cause. The organizers have seriously worked out both the competition program and the general plan of the forum. My favorite was the creative contest "Gaspadar i Gaspadynya", and especially the moment of baking bread," commented Alexandra Bukas, a student at the Faculty of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship.
Congratulations guys! They proved once again that BNTU has many-faceted students.
