Dear BNTU teachers and students, the administration has informed about a single fact of an infectious disease in our university. Please be advised that there is no emergency.
BNTU administration has taken all measures in order to localize this problem in accordance with the health recommendations. The situation is manageable and is under the administration's control.
Staff and students who came in contact with a sick student are sent to health facilities under the supervision of physicians. For student accommodation, appropriate sanitation has been done before students came to study. We kindly request to inform in a timely manner of possible cases of infection and to facilitate the identification of persons who have contacted the patient.
From today, the university organizes daily monitoring of the health status of students, teachers and employees. Sanitary and hygienic control and disinfection measures are being strengthened.
From February 28 to March 15, the educational process at BNTU is transferred to training according to an individual plan for each student, that is, there will be no classroom activities. The teachers' work is organized taking into account the need to limit visits to the university. Hostels access by unauthorized persons will be limited.
The university cancels the holding of public events and strongly recommends limiting contacts with other persons, including participation in public events held in city institutions.
From today on, a task force begins work at the university to solve emerging situations. It works under the leadership of BNTU's first vice-rector, Georgy Aleksandrovich Vershina.
