The aims of the journal publication are:

  • prompt informing the scientific community about achievements in the field of domestic and world instrumentation;
  • coverage of the results of scientific research, development and innovation activities of industry, university and academic science;
  • expansion, deepening and improving the quality of training of highly qualified personnel in the field of instrumentation.

The journal publishes original articles of applied and fundamental nature, as well as review articles on the current state, major achievements and trends in the development of instrumentation and measurement methods in the Republic of Belarus and abroad.

In accordance with the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission dated July 8, 2011 No. 13/1, the journal is included in the List of scientific publications for publishing the results of dissertation research; scientific direction: "means and methods for measuring, monitoring, diagnosing and assessing the quality of objects and processes" (technical and physical and mathematical sciences) in the group of specialties 05.11.00 - Instrumentation, metrology, and information-measuring instruments and systems (technical and physical and mathematical sciences) and specialties 05.02.11 - Methods of control and diagnostics in mechanical engineering, 05.02.23 - Standardization and product quality management (technical sciences).

All articles are peer reviewed.

The periodicity of the publication of the journal "Instruments and Methods of Measurement" - 4 times a year.

Subscription is carried out through post offices according to the “Catalogue of newspapers and magazines of the Republic of Belarus” (indices 74835 and 748352 - for organizations).

Rules for authors

Articles sent to the editors of the journal must meet the requirements of the "Instructions on the procedure for issuing a qualifying scientific work (dissertation) ...", approved by the Resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated February 28, 2014 No. 3

  1. The material of the article should correspond to the profile of the journal and be presented as clearly as possible.
  2. The article is submitted in Russian or English and published in the language of submission.
  3. Articles submitted to the editorial office undergo double-blind peer review. The main criteria for the expediency of publication are the relevance of the topic, information content, scientific novelty.
  4. The article is submitted in printed and electronic form in the format of a Word for Windows text editor. The volume of the article should not exceed 14 pages, including text (Times New Roman font, size 12 p., spacing 1.5), tables, graphics, all necessary information in English.
  5. The first page of the article contains: UDC index, title of the article, surnames of the authors (the surname of the author with whom you should correspond is marked with an asterisk and his e-mail address is indicated), names and postal addresses of organizations (street, house number, postcode, city, country ), in which the authors work, in Russian and English. The article includes: an abstract (within 200-250 words); keywords (no more than 5); an introduction that provides a brief overview of what has been done in the world and specifically formulates the purpose of the work; main part; conclusion, in which the main results obtained are formulated in a concise form, indicating their novelty, advantages and possibilities of application; list of sources used. Abstract, keywords, list of sources used are presented in Russian and English.
  6. The abstract should be informative (contain a "squeeze" from all sections of the article - an introduction indicating the purpose of the work, methodology, main part and conclusion).
  7. Graphic material should be contrasting and clear. Photos are submitted in electronic form ( jpg , tif format ; resolution not less than 300 dpi ). All figures are numbered and accompanied by captions. Fragments of the picture are indicated by lowercase italic Latin letters - " a ", " b ", etc. Figure captions are given on a separate sheet in Russian and English. All abbreviations and designations in the figures must be deciphered in the figure caption. The inscriptions in the figure are given in Russian and English. Drawings should be submitted in color.
  8. Tables should not duplicate graphs. Each table has a heading. All tables and figures should be referenced in the text. The title and content of the tables are presented in Russian and English.
  9. The designations and abbreviations adopted in the article are deciphered directly in the text.
  10. The dimension of all quantities adopted in the article must comply with the International System of Units of Measurement (SI).
  11. Multiline formulas should be typed in the MathType editor, formula numbers should be right-aligned. Only formulas that are referenced in the text are numbered. Individual lowercase letters and special characters are typed in the text with the Symbol typeface without using the formula editor . When typing formulas and lettering, the following rules must be taken into account: the Russian alphabet is not used ; Greek letters, mathematical symbols, symbols of chemical elements (including in the index) are typed directly ; Latin letters - variables and symbols of physical quantities (including in the index) are typed in italics ; vectors are in bold type (arrows are not placed at the top).
  12. The list of sources used is compiled in the order in which references are mentioned in the text, must contain full bibliographic data and is given at the end of the article. It is not recommended to give links to conference materials, articles from electronic journals without a DOI identifier , tutorials, Internet resources. Links to unpublished works are not allowed. It is desirable that the number of links be at least 10; self-citation - no more than 20%.
  13. The authors on a separate page provide the following information about themselves: last name, first name, patronymic, academic degree and title, place of work and position held, e-mail address.
  14. Articles presenting the results of studies performed in institutions must have the appropriate permission for publication in the open press.
  15. If necessary, at the end of the main text, the name of the fund that provided financial support, or the level and name of the program under which the work was performed, in Russian and English, are indicated.
  16. Authors are responsible for sending to the editorial office articles previously published or accepted for publication by other publications.
  17. Articles that do not meet the listed requirements are not accepted for consideration and are returned to the authors. The date of receipt is the day of receipt by the editors of the original version of the text.
  18. The editorial board provides an opportunity for first-priority publication of articles by persons engaged in postgraduate education (postgraduate studies, doctoral studies, applicants) in the year of completion of training; does not charge authors for publishing scientific articles; reserves the right to make editorial changes that do not distort the main content of the article.
