at the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilev (Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan), the Kazakh-Belarusian Center for Scientific and Technical Cooperation is functioning . The structure of this Center includes the Center for Language and Culture "Belarus" .

The purpose of the Center is participation and organization of events that promote the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Center tasks:

  • assistance to educational institutions, scientific organizations, innovative and industrial enterprises that are members of the Consortium, in expanding business, scientific ties and contacts in the field of scientific research and education of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • formation of an effective mechanism for interaction between the Belarusian and Kazakh sides in the implementation of joint scientific projects and the promotion of modern technologies and goods to the markets;
  • strengthening cultural ties to promote the Belarusian culture and language;
  • organization of competitions, seminars, webinars, round tables in the field of culture and science of the two countries;
  • promoting mutual understanding and friendship between Belarusian and Kazakh students through cultural events;
  • assistance to students from Belarus in adapting to the conditions of study and living in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Republic of Kazakhstan in 2020 celebrated the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev, the great Kazakh poet, composer, educator, thinker, public figure, founder of Kazakh written literature. Rector of BNTU Sergey Vasilievich Kharitonchik congratulated our Kazakh friends and supported the "Abai-Challenge" of L.N. Gumilyov on reading the works of Abai.
