The department consists of 2 professors - doctors of sciences, 4 associate professors - candidates of sciences, 3 senior teachers, 1 teacher.
According to the results of the review-competition of BNTU units for the 2017/2018 academic year, the Department of Philosophical Studies was recognized as the best humanitarian department and took third place among the general education departments of BNTU.
One of the components of the work of the department is the ideological and educational work of the faculty of the department. The results of this work can be found in the "Philosophy in Articles" section, as well as on the BNTU news portal "TIMES", in the issues of the newspaper "Vesti BNTU".
In the XXV competition of scientific works of students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus in 2018, 7 students and undergraduates prepared by the teaching staff of the department participated. The work of Popkova N.A. (graduate student of the Faculty of Economics) was awarded the 2nd category, the supervisor of studies was the associate professor of the department Bulygo E.K.
Every year, within the framework of the events “ Values of Eurasian culture: spirituality, traditions, economic priorities of cooperation ”, the department holds international conferences and round tables. Based on the results of the work, collections of conference materials are published.
As part of the implementation of the Tempo project (“Trans-European mobility in the field of education for sustainable development”) (European educational program ERASMUS - MUNDUS), a representative of the University of La Coruna Spain Francisco EduardoHaz Gomez .
The department cooperates with the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State University, RIVSh, the Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia), the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
